Windscreen replacement Opel Insignia or Vauxhall Insignia

Do you want the windscreen replacement of an Opel Insignia? Then it is good to know that this can be done with us for a low price. By offering aftermarket car windows that have exactly the same high quality as branded vehicle glass, you can replace the Opel Insignia windscreen with us for a fraction of the price a brand dealer asks. This luxury mid-range car from Opel has only existed since 2008, but in that short time it has already grown into an icon and has been voted Car of the Year. Whether you have the first generation, or whether you have a car of the latest generation, in all cases the windscreen replacement of your Opel Insignia with us is possible at low prices. You can read more about how this can be done later on. Before telling more about this, we will take a closer look at the history and specific qualities of the special Opel Insignia.

The Opel Insignia as successor to the Vectra and Signum

Opel started producing the Vectra in 1988. This model was an ideal car for many target groups. The affordable quality and the amount of space appealed to families and the elderly, among others. The Opel Vectra was also a great choice for lovers of more powerful cars. Based on the Opel Vectra, the Opel Signum was made in 2003. However, this was not a great success because the car was considerably more expensive than the Opel Vectra, but did not offer much more luxury or had many other distinguishing qualities.

The choice Opel made at the time to merge the two models into one super car is therefore interesting. The Opel Insignia, derived from the Latin word for coat of arms or emblem, was born as a result. Production started in 2008 and it was an immediate success. The combination of space, quality and capacity at an affordable price once again appeals to a large target group. Add to that the beautiful design and the possibility to choose between a hatchback, a sedan and a station wagon and you have a real success formula. In 2013, there was also the Insignia Country Tourer, a four-wheel drive crossover car with higher suspension. It is not for nothing that the Opel Insignia has been a popular model of the originally German brand since its inception.

The first generation of Opel Insignia

From 2008 to 2017, the Opel Insignia A was in production at the Opel plant in Rüsselheim. Before that, however, there was already a concept car that gave Opel the name Insignia. This concept car was a special luxury car with a sturdy V8 engine in the front. Yet this car turned out to be too heavy and too expensive for Opel. It was therefore decided to start again under the same name. The more subdued final Opel Insignia A was immediately available with many extras that Opel had not yet used in other cars. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Adaptive Forward Lighting
  2. Daylight in the form of LEDs
  3. Lane Departure Warning

The first generation was also equipped with its own Opel 2.0 CDTI diesel engines. In 2009, the Opel Insignia was voted Car of the Year. From 2017, the first generation is out of production and replaced by the new Opel Insignia B. With us you can also easily have a windscreen replacement of the Opel Insignia A, but also of the B generation.

The current generation of Insignia

In March 2017, the new Opel Insignia was shown to the public at the Belgrade car fair. This car has taken over certain parts of the Opel Monza concept car, but it also certainly has strong influences from the previous generation of Opel Insignia. The car is available in two different bodywork variants, namely the Grand Sport as a liftback and the Sports Tourer as a station. Different levels of equipment are available for both variants. These are the ones:

  • Online edition
  • Business Executive
  • Innovation

Of course, each level of equipment has its own advantages. These are for example an extra strong engine, novelties like WiFi and online support and a luxurious interior. A GSi version is also available. Here is automatic gearbox with eight gears, sports seats and of course a strong 2.0 liter engine.

Replacing an Opel Insignia windscreen for a low price?

A windscreen replacement of an Opel Insignia is an expensive job at a brand dealer. Because automotive glass with a brand logo can only be sold by authorised brand dealers, they can ask for the main prize. The windscreen replacement costs are much lower than what they are asking for. A better way to replace a windscreen from the Opel Insignia is to opt for an aftermarket car window. The after market windscreen that we offer does not have a brand logo, but is otherwise identical to the automotive glass that you can find at a brand dealer. On top of that, they come from the same factory and are of exactly the same quality! However, these car windows can also be sold by non-brand dealers, which means that the exclusive rights of the brand dealers have been broken and the price for you as a customer is much lower. Replacing the windscreen or Opel Insignia rear window is therefore more economical for you to do through us.

When do I need a windscreen replacement for my Opel Insignia?

A windscreen is made of three different layers, namely two layers of glass and one layer of sturdy PVB film
These are laid on top of each other, pressed and vacuumed into one unit. Because of this production method a windscreen is very strong and can not fall into 1000 pieces. Therefore, it may not be clear to everyone when the windscreen replacement of an Opel Insignia is needed. However, if there is a crack in the front window, it is not wise to continue driving. The so-called 'stiffness' of the car window has been affected and will no longer offer optimal protection. The crack can also cause glare if sunlight or the lighting of a oncoming vehicle reflects into it.

If you have a crack in your car window, it is important to quickly purchase new automotive glass. Order them quickly and easily from us for a very low price. Do you have the expertise to replace the car window yourself? Then, of course, this is possible with our products. Is this not the case? Then enable our certified fitting partners to replace the windscreen of your Opel Insignia on site. This option is also many times cheaper than what a brand dealer will charge you. Order your Opel Insignia windscreen today and get back on the road safely at a low price.
