Cheap windscreen replacement for your Skoda Enyaq

When it comes to popular, powerful electric cars, Czech Skoda comes along well. This is clear from the Skoda Enyaq, a model that immediately gained a lot of attention and rose even further on sales charts after the introduction of the Skoda Enyaq Coupé. Do you have a Skoda Enyaq whose windscreen needs replacing? Then you can find cheap car windows with us without compromising on quality. Just how cheap our new Skoda Enyaq windscreens are, we'll tell you after we take a look at this particular Skoda model together.

The all-electric Skoda Enyaq in 2020

The Skoda Enyaq (initially Skoda Enyaq iV) was unveiled in 2020 and the model finally went into production in November that year. It would take until mid-2021 for the first models to reach consumers, who from then on had an all-electric compact crossover SUV. The entry-level model is equipped with a 55 kWh battery pack delivering 146 hp and the Skoda Enyaq RS, the luxury version, features two electric motors that together deliver 225 kW, equivalent to around 300 hp.

The Skoda Enyaq became a pioneering model for Skoda, which used it to launch a new line of all-electric cars, whose names would all start with an “E”.

The Skoda Enyaq Coupé in 2022

In 2022, the coupé version of the model would be launched, and the idea was to make around 120 models a day. This version would not get an entry-level model, but an RS version of the Skoda Enyaq Coupé would be made, giving it a range of around 500 kilometres on the books.

Early 2025: a facelift for both models

Early 2025 saw a facelift for both the Skoda Enyaq and Skoda Enyaq Coupé, with the front end in particular getting some tweaks (along with the smaller Skoda Elroq) and lower fuel consumption, which is obviously a decisive factor in the electric car market. It also came with more exterior colours and would opt for more durable materials for the interior from the facelift onwards.

How successful is the Skoda Enyaq for the Czechs?

The success of a car model is often expressed in sales figures. Although the counter already hit 200,000 in February 2024 and more than 20,000 units
(comparable to the Skoda Superb, Skoda Kodiaq and Skoda 100 series)
have been sold in the Netherlands at the time of writing, that is probably not why the Czechs are so happy with this model. The big success of the Enyaq is in scoring with an all-electric car in the form of an SUV, which paves the way for this carmaker to make more electric cars for the international market.

Below you can see how Skoda positioned the Enyaq itself in Australia, arguably one of the trickiest markets for the electric car.

When does your Skoda Enyaq's windscreen need replacing?

The rules around windscreen replacement are the same for electric cars and those with a combustion engine. This means that the windscreen of the Skoda Enyaq needs to be replaced when there is windscreen damage in the driver's field of vision and this is a branched crack, or a chip with a diameter of 20 millimetres or more. In these cases, your Enyaq will also no longer pass the MOT, as the damage is too dangerous for traffic participation. The damage can reflect incoming light in unpredictable ways which can cause glare, and in addition, damage of this size distracts while driving.

In all other cases, you can choose to continue driving with windscreen damage, but keep an eye on the chip or crack. If there are large temperature differences between the two sides of the window, the damage may increase and it could become dangerous.

How much does a new Skoda Enyaq windscreen cost?

You already have a new Skoda Enyaq windscreen for €629, but look especially at the options. This is because our professional fitting partners can calibrate immediately after replacing the windscreen, so that your ADAS systems work flawlessly again. These windscreens are also suitable for the Skoda Elroq.

Our new windscreens are identical in quality to the original Skoda windscreens, but the price is much lower. The price difference is in the brand logo incorporated in the original windscreens, which is also incorporated in the price tag. Our replacement windscreens do not have an exclusive brand logo and this ensures that we can offer our car windows significantly cheaper. So much cheaper that the price is often still lower than that of second-hand automotive glass.

Can you replace the Skoda Enyaq windscreen yourself?

Tinkering with electric cars is often discouraged simply because it involves more risk. When it comes to replacing your car's windscreen, we always advise against doing it yourself, as it involves risks for the new car window, your car and also yourself. That is why we work with qualified fitting partners who replace car windows on-site throughout the Netherlands and Belgium.

Do you have your own garage, are you an automotive glass specialist or do you know someone who can replace the Skoda Enyaq windscreen for you? Then you can also come to us for automotive glass without fitting. You can even choose to collect your order from us to save even more on costs.
