The Alfa Romeo 159 is a special model in many ways. For instance, the Italian carmaker did make sure to incorporate Alfa Romeo's distinctive features into the model, but at the same time it went wrong with the platform which made the car too big and heavy for many a car buyer. If you have an Alfa Romeo 159 and need the windscreen replaced, you can find cheap car windows with us without compromising on the quality of the automotive glass. Before we explain exactly how this works, let's make room for this striking model from Italy.
In 2009 also came a TBi version, a turbocharged petrol engine with variable valve timing and an output of almost 200 hp with 320 Nm. This made it clear that Alfa Romeo not only wanted to produce a luxurious, large car, but also wanted to compete with the Germans in terms of power and engine capacity.
Alfa Romeo calls the Alfa Romeo 159 the successor to the Alfa Romeo 156, but many people disagree. This is because the 159 is an E-class car, a larger and heavier model that is therefore not a logical successor to the Alfa Romeo 156.
This idea is further reinforced by numerous exterior design choices that make the car appear larger than it actually is. This was a deliberate choice, to ensure that the model would better suit the US market. Salient detail is that the Alfa Romeo 159 never made it to America, however, with which the Italian carmaker seems to have (somewhat) cut itself in the fingers.
So does this mean that the Alfa Romeo 159 has become a flop? Not directly, as almost 250,000 units were made in the period between 2004 and 2011. While this is considerably less than its predecessor, it must be taken into account that the 159 is bigger, heavier, more luxurious and more expensive, and thus indeed did not enter the same market segment as the Alfa Romeo 156.
To give further space to the model's beautiful design and elegant look, we have posted below a promotional video for the model in which the Alfa Romeo 159 shines - and in which it becomes clear that this model is in a very different world from the Alfa Romeo 156.
Windscreen damage is always annoying. Not only because it is unsightly, but also because it can cause dangerous situations. But when does the windscreen actually need to be replaced? This is the case when the windscreen damage is in the driver's field of vision and involves a branched crack, or a chip with a diameter of 20 millimetres or more.
In all other cases, you may choose to continue driving with the damaged windscreen, especially if it is not bothersome or serious. However, be sure to check out the price of a new Alfa Romeo 159 windscreen with us first, as chances are you will change your mind.
In fact, you already have an after market Alfa Romeo 159 windscreen for €349, which is considerably cheaper than if you opt for an original windscreen. Our replacement Alfa Romeo 159 windscreens are identical in quality to the automotive glass at the Alfa Romeo dealer, but because there is no exclusive brand logo in the automotive glass, we can offer our windscreens at a much lower price.
The price difference is so great that our new windscreens for the Alfa Romeo 159 (and other models) are even cheaper than most second-hand car windows. That means you can always come to us for automotive glass with the best value for money.
Opting for an after market windscreen is a great way to save on the cost of a new windscreen. Getting started with windscreen replacement yourself when you have little or no experience with this is not a good way to go. A small mistake can actually make the cost much higher, especially when it comes to a large, heavy windscreen that has to be fitted in your car. That is why we work with professional, experienced fitting partners who replace car windows on location throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. You have nothing to worry about and you are always back on the road safely in no time with an intact, clean windscreen that has been fitted correctly.
Are you someone who knows exactly how to replace a windscreen or do you know someone who can and wants to do this for you? Then you can also order car windows from us without fitting. If you are a garage owner and would like to purchase several windscreens at once, you can even choose to collect your order from us. This is only possible by appointment.
Do you have an Alfa Romeo 159 with glass damage or do you have your eye on a used car whose windscreen you want to replace?
