Cheap windscreen replacement for your Alfa Romeo Giulietta

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta is a special model and there are a number of reasons for this. The first and perhaps most notable reason is that there are three separate generations, all of which have been given special status over the years. Do you have an Alfa Romeo Giulietta with windscreen damage and wondering if it needs to be replaced? Then you have come to the right place, even if you are looking for a new, cheap windscreen and do not want to compromise on quality. Before we tell you more about this, let's take a look at Alfa Romeo's special model.

Three generations and a distinct history for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta is a special model. Or rather three special models, because the Giulietta has three separate production periods that are far apart. It started in 1954 with the Tipo, which would remain in production until 1965 and was succeeded by the Alfa Romeo Giulia. That model would then be succeeded by a new Alfa Romeo Giulietta in 1977, a rear-wheel-drive 4-door akin to the Alfa Romeo Alfetta. This generation would be taken out of production in 1985. 25 years later, Alfa Romeo came out with another Alfa Romeo Giulietta, which would remain in production until 2020.

The third generation of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta in 2010

Of that third generation, of course, most are still on the road, which is why we pay a bit more attention to it here. This generation is a 5-door small family car with a sporty look. Incidentally, the model sits on the Fiat Group Compact platform (known from the Lancia Delta, the Fiat Stilo and the Fiat Bravo), a platform that cost Fiat some 100 million during development.

In 2013, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta received a facelift, which saw the implementation of a new infotainment system (Uconnect), a new grille, sporty car seats with increased occupant comfort, new exterior colours and a new diesel engine, namely the 2.0-litre JTDM 2 with 148 hp and a whopping 380 Nm, which not only made this look like a sporty car, but would actually make it so.

The facelifts in 2016 and 2019 were smaller in scale and mainly resulted in more versions. In 2019, engines were updated to meet the new Euro 6 D requirements.

How successful was the Alfa Romeo Giulietta?

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta has been a great success for the carmaker. Almost half a million units were made of the third generation alone, which was in production for only 10 years, and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta is also a popular model on the second-hand market. Looking at the Netherlands, this picture does not change. More than 11,000 units were sold here,
putting the model directly behind the Alfa Romeo 147 and the Alfa Romeo 145, and well ahead of the sales figures of both the Alfa Romeo Mito and the Alfa Romeo 155.

Numerous advertisements were made for this model, focusing mainly on its power, speed or handling (a popular billboard for this car brand). Below is one of the more playful, funny commercials where the Giulietta is mainly portrayed as a fun and exciting car model.

Is the windscreen of your Alfa Romeo Giulietta damaged and do you want to know when it needs replacing? Then let's start with the fact that in most cases, you may continue driving with a damaged windscreen. The windscreen of your Alfa Romeo Giulietta should only be replaced if the damage is in the driver's field of vision and this is a branched crack, or a chip with a diameter of at least 20 millimetres. In these cases, the window damage is seriously distracting while driving and may reflect incoming light in an unpredictable way, meaning you could be blinded while driving. Your Alfa Romeo Giulietta will therefore be rejected at the MOT with this windscreen damage.

What does a new Alfa Romeo Giulietta windscreen cost?

You already have a new Alfa Romeo Giulietta windscreen for just €449. That price is considerably lower than what the Alfa Romeo dealer tells you, and there is a somewhat remarkable reason for this. This is because the quality of the car windows is identical; they are made in exactly the same way, often even in the same factories. But because the original car windows have a brand logo and this is included in the price tag, they are much more expensive than our replacement, unbranded windscreens for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

So if you want to make sure you choose the best value for money, you will end up with our quality, cheap automotive glass. Our prices are so competitive that new windscreens are often even cheaper than second-hand automotive glass.

Can you replace the windscreen of your Alfa Romeo yourself?

Replacing a car window yourself is an option when it comes to and side window, but we strongly advise against replacing windscreens yourself unless you are a specialist with the necessary experience and tools. Replacing an Alfa Romeo Giulietta windscreen is an extensive job where a lot can go wrong, and any mistake can incur hefty costs. To make things as easy as possible for you, we work with professional fitting partners who replace windscreens on-site. So you never have to go to a garage or workshop, the fitters simply come to you.

Do you have a lot of experience with glass replacement or do you know someone who can replace the windscreen of your Alfa Romeo Giulietta? Then you can also come to us for new windscreens excluding fitting. You can even choose to collect your order from us, a popular choice among garage owners who buy several car windows from us at once.
