Cheap windscreen replacement for your Skoda Karoq

The Skoda Karoq is part of the carmaker's larger SUV range and has become an extremely popular model, despite the fact that the Karoq came out right before the Vision X line. Production figures are impressive, as are sales numbers in the Netherlands. Do you have a Skoda Karoq and need a windscreen replacement? Then you have landed on the right page, because with us you will find new windscreens with the best value for money. Before we surprise you with the prices of our cheap car windows, let's take a look at this SUV from Skoda.

2017: introducing the Skoda Karoq in Stockholm

The Skoda Karoq was first shown in Stockholm in 2017 and would arrive at dealerships later that year. The Karoq is the successor to the Skoda Yeti and is almost identical to the Seat Ateca. Skoda decided to put the Karoq between the smaller Skoda Kamiq and larger Skoda Kodiaq so that the Czech carmaker had a strong offering in the SUV market.

Unlike the Skoda Kamiq, the Karoq came directly with front-wheel or all-wheel drive, which makes sense as the model is significantly larger and thus needs to be able to be used outside urbanised areas. Incidentally, the success of the Skoda Karoq was immediately undeniable. Already in the third quarter of 2019, Karoq number 250,000 rolled out of the factories. This was due not only to the equipment levels and wide engine range, but also to the fact that this model became a success not only in Europe, but also found eager sales outside the continent.

The Skoda Karoq facelift in 2021

In 2021, Skoda carried out a facelift, a much bigger one than you might be used to from Skoda. The entire front and rear of the model were redesigned and inside the car the standard was also raised considerably, with plenty of practical adjustments and features to offer more comfort, such as climate control in 3 separate zones, adaptive suspension and an electrically operated panoramic roof (only on the more expensive versions).

The success of the Skoda Karoq in sales figures

The success of the Skoda Karoq can be expressed in numerous ways. For instance, consumers in several countries had to wait up to 10 months for their car because production couldn't keep up with demand for the models, even when, in addition to Osnabrück and Mladá Boleslav, they also diverted to Bratislava to get more units to dealers. Over 200,000 units were made in 2019 alone, making the Karoq one of the biggest successes for Skoda, especially when the sales successes of the slightly smaller and larger SUV are included in the sales figures.

Looking at the Netherlands, we see a similar picture. At the time of writing, the Skoda Karoq has been sold some 14,000 times
in the Netherlands, taking it on the road to the Skoda Citigo (17,000) and the Skoda 100 series
(20,000). With that, we can be sure Skoda will be pleased with the success of the Karoq.

By the way, the advert below is one of the strangest adverts we have ever seen and we wanted to share it with you. We just suspect that the copywriters for this advert either haven't seen the Karoq or that the model wasn't yet developed when the advert was to be shot, but at the same time, thanks to this advert you might just get the idea that you should stop by the Skoda dealer today.

When does the Skoda Karoq windscreen need replacing?

The windscreen of your Skoda Karoq should be replaced when the damage is in the driver's field of vision and involves a chip at least 2 centimetres in diameter or a branched crack. This window damage can be distracting while driving and can even reflect incoming light in unpredictable ways, which can blind you. Also, the Karoq will be rejected at the next MOT with this windscreen damage.

Is the windscreen damage in a different place or is the extent limited? Then you can choose to continue driving with the damaged windscreen. Before you choose this, it may be attractive to take a look below at the price of our new Skoda Karoq windscreens.

What does a new Skoda Karoq windscreen cost?
