The Lynk & Co 01 is a special model, especially since many people in Europe eagerly awaited the model for a long time, but were told that the Lynk & Co 01 was only available on the Chinese market. It took four years before we could drive around the model in the Netherlands. Do you have a Lynk & Co 01 and need to replace the windscreen, and don't want to pay too much for a new car window? In 2016, the Geely CX11 was shown to the public and would be marketed in mid-2017 as the Lynk & Co 01, a model made by Lynk & Co and CEVT (China Euro Vehicle Technology AB, a Swedish company), both part of Geely (which in turn is Chinese). Early models had an internal combustion engine only, but in 2018 came a PHEV version, a luxury compact crossover SUV with a 51-kilometre electric range.

In 2021, a facelift for the Lynk & Co 01 came and the model was ready for export to Europe. Incidentally, the combustion-only models did not come here, it was only the hybrid versions (with and without a plug, or HEV and PHEV) that would be put on the European market.
Not much changed for Europeans in 2021, as there were no equipment levels, just different colours and engines. The 2022 facelift was much bigger, with the engines in particular getting a complete overhaul and the models suddenly getting quite a bit more range and, of course, more power. The engines were also up to 40% more fuel-efficient, something that is a big plus for buyers in most European countries. The range also increased slightly, it now became 60 kilometres.
Lynk & Co would continue this trend, as another facelift came in 2025, aiming for lower consumption and a higher range, which would come out to around 75 kilometres. That was not all, as the Swedish-Chinese brand realised that it also needed to capitalise more on the premium feel in order to appear more luxurious. Therefore, a lot of time was invested in developing a more powerful CPU, especially to further improve (and especially make faster) the infotainment system and the choice between Core and More versions (something that is still pretty sparse in terms of the number of different versions).
When the introductory model has already been sold more than 17,000 times in the Netherlands and is still in production (even with a completely new line at the time of writing), we can easily speak of a sales success. Especially since the model would not be sold outside China until four years after the actual start of production, and the petrol version would never reach the market here. Ironically, more Lynk & Co 01 models were sold in Europe than in China despite the “false start” where we in the Netherlands and Belgium had to wait for the model to finally reach dealers here.
The promotional videos clearly capitalise on the premium feel that should get buyers to the dealerships. Incidentally, the keen eye can also see that the advert below was shot in a Swedish city that is very familiar if you know more about Volvo.
Windscreen damage is always annoying, especially when the chip or crack occurs while driving on the highway, where the splashing stone has probably given you quite a scare as well. Since the windscreen is made of laminated glass with a layer of PVB film, the windscreen does not have to be replaced for every kind of damage. On the contrary, as there are only two cases where you need to look for a new Lynk & Co 01 windscreen. Is the damage a branched crack or a chip with a diameter of at least 2 centimetres and is in the driver's field of vision? If so, your Lynk & Co 01 will no longer pass the MOT and the car is in need of a new windscreen.
You already have a new Lynk & Co 01 windscreen for €499. This is considerably cheaper than the original windscreens for the Lynk & Co 01, while the quality of the automotive glass is identical. The price difference is in the brand logo that the original windscreens have, which makes them more exclusive (and thus a much higher price).
