Inexpensive windscreen replacement for your Alfa Romeo Tonale

The Alfa Romeo Tonale is a model that many a car enthusiast has been looking forward to for quite some time, mainly because the Italians were quiet for a long time when it came to new models. The Tonale was immediately well received and would become a huge success within a few years. If you have a Tonale whose windscreen needs replacing, you have come to the right place. Indeed, with us you will find car windows with the best value for money, but first of all, let's take a look at this special model that Alfa Romeo had to bring back into the limelight.

2022, the launch year of the Alfa Romeo Tonale

The Alfa Romeo Tonale should have been launched as early as 2021, but was significantly delayed. This had nothing to do with Alfa Romeo, but rather with the global scarcity of chips, which caused the entire automotive and electronics industry to face delays. Then, in 2022, the Tonale did hit the market and was made under the FiatChrysler Automobiles banner. The Tonale was built on the SCCS crossover platform, which did undergo extensive modifications for this purpose. Incidentally, this model would also become Alfa Romeo's first plug-in hybrid, equipped with a 15.5 kWh battery pack with a range of just under 50 kilometres. This is part of Stellantis' larger project, which aims to have at least 14 brands making exclusively electric cars by 2027.

The Tonale would be marketed above the Alfa Romeo Junior as a spacious 5-seater with plenty of features, such as the infotainment system with a 31-centimetre screen, integration for Apple Pay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa and 18-inch wheels.

The little brother of the Tonale: the Dodge Horner

In August 2022, the Dodge Hornet
entered the market, which would actually be a modified Alfa Romeo Tonale. This model was mainly aimed at the North American market and was slightly stripped down to be offered more cheaply alongside the Tonale. The reason behind this was that this way it would become Dodge's smallest SUV, making it an entry-level model for new car buyers.

Is the Alfa Romeo Tonale a success for the Italian carmaker?

In April 2025, the 100,000th example of the Alfa Romeo Tonale rolled out of the factories, a joyous moment for the Italian carmaker, which thus clearly saw its vision and success confirmed. The Tonale was to become the ambassador for Alfa Romeo, which had not made new cars for quite some time before this model, and it had clearly succeeded.

In the Netherlands, success has been somewhat muted, the counter at the time of writing stands at just over 1,000 units
driving around in the Netherlands. With that, the Tonale dangles at the bottom of the list of Alfa Romeo's best-selling models in the Netherlands, along with names like the Alfa Romeo Spider, Alfa Romeo Stelvio and the Alfa Romeo Junior, but chances are slim that Alfa Romeo is really bothered by that.

The advert below initially seems like the sad disappointment of today's society, but Alfa Romeo managed to turn it into a brilliant and strong message, which undoubtedly contributed to the success of this model.

When does the windscreen of your Alfa Romeo Tonale need replacing?

Car windows are made of glass, which means they can be damaged fairly easily. Since the windscreen is made of laminated glass, or two layers of glass with a layer of PVB film in between, the window does not immediately break into thousands of pieces when it is damaged. This means that the windscreen does not need to be replaced for every kind of damage, but when does the windscreen actually need to be replaced? That is in the following cases. You need a new windscreen when the glass damage is in the driver's field of vision and this is a chip with a diameter of at least 2 centimetres or when this is a branched crack.

In all other cases, you can continue driving with the damaged windscreen, although we still recommend you take a look below at the price of a new Alfa Romeo Tonale windscreen when you choose our products.

What does a new Alfa Romeo Tonale windscreen cost?

In fact, you already have a new Alfa Romeo Tonale windscreen for just €449. While this is considerably cheaper than the price of an original windscreen, the quality is identical and the auto glass is made in exactly the same way. Our price is much lower because our new Alfa Romeo Tonale windscreens do not feature a brand logo, meaning the exclusive character is completely missing. By choosing us, you will save significantly on costs without sacrificing quality.

Replace the windscreen yourself or use our mechanics?

We are regularly asked whether it is possible to replace the windscreen yourself. This is only the case if you are experienced in replacing windscreens and have the right tools. If this is not the case, it is wiser not to even start. After all, even a small mistake can cause damage to the windscreen or the car, which means that the costs will actually only increase.

To help you in the best possible way, we cooperate with professional fitting partners who replace car windows on location throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. You do not have to worry about this and you do not even have to take your Tonale with damaged windscreen onto the road.

Can you replace the windscreen yourself or do you know someone who can do this for you? Then you can also come to us for automotive glass excluding fitting. You can even collect your order from us (by appointment only).
