Cheap windscreen replacement for your Alfa Romeo Giulia

The Alfa Romeo Giulia has been one of many models with which the car manufacturer wanted to return to the original style of Alfa Romeo and this has been a reasonable success. At the time of writing, the model is still in production and more than 2,000 units have been sold in the Netherlands. Do you have a Giulia and need a windscreen replacement? Then you can find cheap windscreens with us, without compromising on quality. Before we tell you how cheap such a windscreen is with us, let's take a look at this particular model and the history of the Giulia.

The original Alfa Romeo Giulia: 1962 to 1978

In fact, the story of the Alfa Romeo Giulia does not start in 2015, but before 1962 when the original Giulia came on the market. It was a particularly popular model, partly because of its roadholding, sharp steering responses and the power that made the compact, lightweight car particularly quick to accelerate. When the Giulia was withdrawn from production in 1978 and succeeded by the Giulietta, an era came to an end.

The new Alfa Romeo Giulia since 2015

Alfa Romeo was keen to bring back that era, which is why the Italians have been working hard since 2010 to bring back true Alfa Romeo style. That is also exactly why in 2013, Sergio Marchionne, head of FiatChrysler Automobiles, wanted the new Giulia to be designed from a completely clean slate. It was to be a rear-wheel-drive sports saloon and carry with it purebred Alfa Romeo styling elements, and so in 2015 the new Alfa Romeo Giulia was finally shown to the public. This was not without controversy. To reach the target of 400,000 sales by 2018, 5 billion was invested to launch a total of eight different new models. The Giulia was the first of the 8.

The Giulia is by no means an entry-level model, it is a luxury car that had to compete with models like the Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the BMW 3 Series. The fact that the first reviews from automotive journalists were particularly laudatory ensured that a lot of attention was immediately paid to the model, although the unclear buttons and the use of plastic in the interior did cause some downsides.

As with numerous other models, Alfa Romeo also added a premium model to the selection in the form of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, a considerably more expensive version that is far above the standard version in terms of technology and design.

A facelift for the Giulia in 2023

In 2022, Alfa Romeo announced a facelift for the Giulia, which went on sale in 2023 (2024 in America). The headlights and rear lights were changed, the digital instrument panel was refreshed and, unlike other models, the engine range was curtailed.

How successful is the Alfa Romeo Giulia really?

By mid-2023, the production counter stood at around 160,000 units sold and, judging by the targets, that is a fine result. However, the figures are often measured against the sales figures of the original Giulia (type 105), but that is comparing apples with oranges, as the modern version is much higher in the market ánd faces much more competition.

In the Netherlands, at the time of writing, the sales counter stands at just over 2250 units.

With that, it leaves the Alfa Romeo Alfetta and the Alfa Romeo Tonale far behind, but at the same time it will have to gain a lot of attention to get past the Alfa Romeo GT and the Alfa Romeo 166.

With a special model comes a special advertisement. An advertisement that shows that the car manufacturer is proud of the model and proudly sticks the brand logo on the car with every model produced.

When should the windscreen of your Alfa Romeo Giulia be replaced?

When it comes to windscreen damage, the first thing that matters is the size of the damage when you want to know whether the windscreen needs to be replaced. Is the damage in the driver's field of vision and is this a branched crack or a chip with a diameter of 20 millimetres or more? Then the windscreen of your Alfa Romeo Giulia needs to be replaced. This windscreen damage distracts while driving, creates an obstructed view of the road and can reflect incoming light in unpredictable ways, leading to glare.

Is the damage in a different place or is the extent limited? Then the choice is yours. Driving on with this windscreen damage is allowed, but with our price for a new Alfa Romeo Giulia windscreen, chances are you will still decide to (have) a new car window fitted.

What does a new Alfa Romeo Giulia windscreen cost?

Because you already have a new windscreen for your Alfa Romeo Giulia for €499, including VAT. This makes our automotive glass significantly cheaper than original car windows, while the quality is identical. The big difference in price is caused by the brand logo in the windscreens at the Alfa Romeo dealer. That logo adds nothing to the automotive glass, but it does create an exclusive character that can cost you hundreds of euros extra.

This is not what we do and that means you always choose the best value for money when you choose our replacement car windows. The price difference is so great that our new car windows are often still cheaper than second-hand automotive glass for your Alfa Romeo.

Can you replace it yourself or hire a professional?

By opting for our Alfa Romeo windscreens, you will save a lot of money that makes glass replacement possible even when insurance does not cover it. Think you can save more by replacing the windscreen yourself, but don't know where to start? Then don't. If you do not have the right knowledge or tools, chances are that the costs will actually increase, for example because the new windscreen or your car will be damaged in the process. Windscreen replacement is a job for the specialist, which is why we work with professional fitting partners who replace windscreens on-site so that you do not have to worry about it at all.

Are you a professional yourself or do you know someone who can replace the windscreen of your Alfa Romeo Giulia? Then you can of course also come to us for new windscreens without fitting (and even without delivery, if you want to collect your order from us yourself).
